What are the types of Asphalt Maintenance?

Preventive Maintenance:

Work done to improve or extend a pavement's functional life. It's a set of surface treatments and procedures aimed at delaying progressive failures and lowering the requirement for routine maintenance and repair.

Corrective Maintenance:

When a deficit in the pavement occurs, such as lack of friction, moderate to severe rutting, or widespread cracking, corrective maintenance is performed. This type of maintenance is also known as "reactive" maintenance.

Emergency Maintenance:

This is done in the event of an emergency, such as a blowout or a serious pothole that needs to be repaired right away. This term also refers to treatments that are used to keep the surface together until more permanent repairs can be made.
